Royal Root Good Grade 40ji: Smaller Good Grade Ginseng With Root for Cooking and Tea

Royal Root Good Grade 40ji features smaller Good Grade roots, hand-selected for cooking and tea. Good Grade is the third of the four Korean Red Ginseng grades: Heaven, Earth, Good, and Cut. Roots are graded on their condition, diameter, color, and amount of fine rootlets, and every Good Grade root is hand-selected to meet the quality standard for that tier.

The "ji" number describes root size: the higher the number, the smaller each root and the more roots in each package. At 40ji, each root weighs approximately 12.50g, compared to 15.79g for 30ji and 21.43g for 20ji, so a 37.5g package holds 3 roots, a 300g package holds 24, and a 600g package holds 48.

Each root carries the full spectrum of ginsenosides in a size suited for boiling into tea, soup, or traditional preparation.

How to Enjoy

Boil the whole root in a pot for several hours for the best flavor and potency.

To soften the root for cutting, lightly spray it with water and microwave for 10 seconds.

Once boiled or microwaved, consume within one month for best quality.
