Royal Root Cut Grade 300g: Everyday Red Ginseng Root for Brewing and Cooking

Royal Root Cut Grade is Korean Red Ginseng root in its most practical form, handpicked by expert ginseng masters and produced by the same steaming and drying process as every grade in the Royal Root range.

Cut Grade is the entry tier of the four tier Korean Red Ginseng grading system, which runs from Heaven Grade at the top through Earth, Good, and Cut. Each grade is assigned by examining a root's internal structure, shape, color, surface, and how many fine rootlets it carries. The higher tiers are selected for form and presentation as much as anything else, which is what sets them apart.

Because Cut Grade is not selected for presentation, it is supplied cut rather than as whole roots, so it carries no "ji" size count the way graded whole roots do. A 300g package is sized for regular use rather than for display or gifting.

Cut Grade carries the ginsenosides Korean Red Ginseng is valued for, in the form best suited to slow brewing, simmering, and traditional preparations such as samgyetang, where the root goes into the pot anyway.

Directions:

If you are planning to consume the root in a drink, make sure to use a pot and boil it for as many hours to get the best experience.


How To Cut The Root:

  1. Spray a very small amount of water
  2. Microwave for 10 seconds
  3. The root will become soft enough to cut

※Caution: Sprayed/Microwaved roots will decrease shelf life to less than a month, we recommend consuming within this time frame.


Notice: Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, keep in a cool, dry place. If pregnant, nursing, or on medication, consult your physician prior to using this product. Consume quickly after boiling/microwaving.
