Whole Korean Red Ginseng Root, Graded and Sized the Traditional Way
JungKwanJang's Root & Slices collection is our whole Korean Red Ginseng root line, the same root, cultivated over four years, behind every JungKwanJang product, offered uncut and unprocessed for a more traditional way to enjoy Korean Red Ginseng.
Each root in this collection is graded and sized using traditional Korean standards reflected in the product name, for example, Cut, Good, Earth, and Heaven, alongside a number like 15ji or 30ji indicating size. Larger, more mature roots are generally reflected in a lower number and a higher grade tier.
Whole roots can be steeped in hot water, simmered into a traditional tea, or added to soups and dishes, a format favored by those who grew up with Korean Red Ginseng prepared at home.
All products are grown, harvested, and processed in Korea under JungKwanJang's strict quality standards.
These names reflect KGC's internal grading tiers for whole root quality, size, and maturity. Higher grades generally reflect larger, more mature roots.
This is a traditional Korean root-sizing figure, generally reflecting how many roots make up a set weight. A lower number typically means larger, fewer roots.
Whole roots are typically steeped in hot water, simmered into a traditional tea, or added to soups and other dishes.
Most adults can incorporate whole root into a regular routine. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a medical condition, consult your physician before use.
Korean Red Ginseng is recognized by Korea's MFDS for six certified health functions, including immune support, fatigue reduction, and antioxidant activity.*
